"A Tempest brews and stirs within;
Act One begets a potent twin;
A storm of hops in time shall pass;
Its only trace, an empty glass.
A juicy New England Style IPA featuring six different hop varieties and a more robust 7.7% ABV."

Pours a gorgeous sunset orange witha hazy body and two fingers of white head that retains and laces beautifully.

The aroma has a lovely bouquet of grapefruit, orange rind, honeydew melon, black pepper, mint, and orange sherbet. A strong spicy and herbaceous note is combining with almost a sweet, lactose flavor, but an overall peach-mango juice aroma is dominating. Pretty damn complex.

The taste is a bit more subtle than the nose, but delicious all the same. Lots of juicy hop bitterness to be found along with the grapefruit from the aroma. Peach puree and some light mango account for the fruity notes here and then that black pepper and spice also come back to add some complexity. A little bit of tree sap and bark add some earthy qualities, but it switches back to some surprising tart lemon and more of that mint from the aroma. A strong malt presence of caramel and overall sweetness make this more than just a showcase for the hops and the finish has a clean bitter quality.

Mouthfeel is full and robust. A general creamy body contains no alcohol and the hop complexity keeps the palate guessing on each sip.

The Tempest had genuine hop complexity combined with a creamy mouthfeel to produce a beer worthy of The Bard of Avon. All the world's a stage and The Tempest is front and center with it's hop profile and high drinkability. Ok, so maybe my knowledge of Shakespeare goes no further than Mekhi Phifer and Josh Hartnett fighting over Julia Stiles while Fulton Reed tries to carjack Joey "Eat Me" Donner......

VOICE IN MY HEAD: What the f**k are you talking about?

...the beer is great. Go buy it.
