"Milkshake-style IPA with mangoes, lactose, and vanilla beans"

No commercial description on this one. Oh well, you can't have everything...but someday I will!

Pours bright yellow with a hazy body and a hefty three fingers of white head.

The aroma is very dessert-like with vanilla and orange creme and those mangoes play off that nicely. Some lighter lemon notes with decent hop bitterness and a good malt presence balance things out.

While so many of the IPA's I talk about on here have that "milkshake" appearance and creamy body, I think this is my first foray into the actual "Milkshake IPA" brewed with lactose sugar. My first impression? I like it.

The vanilla is not only immediately noticeable, but it might be the strongest flavor on the taste. The lactose and aforementioned vanilla are making this a sugary, candy-like experience. Past the sweet stuff, there's an underlying bitter character, but I can't say there's that big of a hop presence since the confectionery flavors dominate. The mangoes represent the fruity notes along with oranges and lemon peel.

Mouthfeel is a tad light, but still holds a creamy body. The alcohol is non-existent and dinkability is high.

Memes & Dreams was heavier on the dessert rather than the IPA, but it was still enjoyable. The style makes for a great dessert beer no doubt, but I do wish there was a better balance of hop bitterness to go along with the sweeter side.
